Two people have gone on trial accused of attempting to rob Aberdeen FC youth player David Dangana at knife-point.
Shaun Stewart, 33, and Lana Smart, 30, are accused of attacking Mr Dangana in Fairlie Street, Aberdeen.
It is alleged they smashed the window of his white Vauxhall Corsa, brandished a knife and threatened him with violence on August 9.
Stewart is also accused of having a knife in public and failing to provide fingerprints, DNA or a photograph to police.
The pair deny the charges and have gone on trial at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
Yesterday, Mr Dangana said he was “terrified” after having a knife held to his face.
The footballer told the jury he was “flagged down” by a woman while he was parking his car, and opened the window to see if she needed help.
He told the court: “She asked me questions. She was saying ‘Where is it?’.”
The 19-year-old recalled two men approaching the car, and one using the handle of a pink kitchen knife to smash the car window – covering the floor of the vehicle in glass.

He said the man held the blade “just a few centimetres” from his face, while the woman asked for his phone then appeared to look through his messages.
Mr Dangana said the other man then punched him twice – leaving him with a swollen right eye for days after – before the trio walked away.
He suggested to the court that the woman had mistaken him for a drug dealer and had been searching his phone for evidence that he may or may not have been the man she was waiting to meet.
The footballer said he saw Smart and one of the men standing beside a different white car before disappearing into a flat nearby shortly after.
“I’m cautious now to everything around me,” he told the court.
Stewart’s solicitor, Ian Houston, entered a special defence of incrimination – claiming someone else was involved in the attempted robbery and carrying the knife.
The trial, before Sheriff Morag McLaughlin, continues.
