A man charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault at a Moray play park has been freed pending further investigations.
The 25-year-old had been due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court today in relation to the alleged incident at the town’s Doocot Park, but has since been released.
A major investigation was launched following the incident that allegedly took place in the early hours of June 21.
A spokeswoman for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said: “The accused did not appear in court.
“They were liberated pending further police inquiries.”
