Yesterday Andrew Wallace appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and admitted the offences, which took place the day before. The court heard Wallace, of Gairsay Road in Aberdeen, approached two young women taking a break outside Haigs on Schoolhill. The pair, in their early 20s, were “left shaken” after their encounter with Wallace. Fiscal Felicity Merson said: “It was noted the accused was standing very close to the pair and was shouting with food flying from his mouth.” Worried about what Wallace might do next, the women retreated into the shop and called the police. After checking CCTV footage officers traced Wallace and arrested him. The court heard that while undergoing a strip search at Kittybrewster Police Station, he attempted to bite a police officer and spat on his arm. And as he was being taken to the cells Wallace “smeared blood over another officer’s face and body”. He admitted behaving in a threatening manner and assaulting both the police officers.
