A man has been charged with four counts of attempted murder after an incident in Fraserburgh.
Daniel Hewison, 21, appeared in Peterhead Sheriff Court today, where he made no plea.
He faces four charges of attempted murder, a charge of assault, and another of assault with intent to rob.
Hewison is also accused of two counts of possessing a weapon in a public place.
On Wednesday, Chapelhill Road in Fraserburgh was shut to the public overnight following an incident which resulted in a 38-year-old man being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Hewison is anticipated to appear in court again within the next seven days.
