A man has been jailed for 15 months after admitting stabbing a man in an Aberdeen street.
Father-of-three Lee Wilson was thrown out of the Abbott Bar on Provost Watt Drive on April 1 this year for threatening another customer.
The 29-year-old then became involved in an altercation at a nearby cash machine, during which the city’s sheriff court heard another man tried to punch him.
Wilson retaliated by stabbing him in the arm, leaving his victim with a four-inch wound that required stitches at hospital.
After the incident, he approached a car and kicked and punched its headlights.
He subsequently pled guilty to assault and to acting in a threatening and abusive manner.
Sentencing Wilson, Sheriff Morag McLaughlin told him there was no alternative to a custodial sentence.
She said: “It is fortunate that it was not more serious, but it was a severe attack that caused serious and permanent disfigurement.”
