A man has appeared in court accused of causing a crash in Aberdeenshire in which three people died.
Marin Rachev is accused of driving dangerously on the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road at its junction with Candy Farm and an unclassified road to Stonehaven on March 12, and causing the deaths of Dimitar Georgiev, Zaharina Hristova and Silvan Stefanoc.
It is alleged the 34-year-old pulled out crossing from the northbound lane to the southbound lane when it was unsafe to do so and collided with a bus.
Rachev, who was represented by advocate David Moggach, entered a not guilty plea and a five-day trial was set for January at the High Court in Aberdeen.
Police, fire and emergency services were called to the A90 at about 4.30pm on March 12.
Three people died at the scene, while four people and Rachev were injured.
The driver of the Aberdeen-bound Scottish Citylink bus suffered minor injuries, and none of the passengers were hurt.
Rachev was granted bail.
