A Caithness man who had sex with a young teenage girl has been jailed for more than three years and banned from contacting her and any other women in her family for seven years.
Aidan Bremner appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh for sentence after admitting the charges against him earlier this week.
Yesterday, he was jailed for three years and three months.
Judge Lord Boyd ordered that Bremner, formerly of Cairndhuna Terrace, Wick, should be kept under supervision for a further three-year period.
He was also placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely and made the subject of a sexual offences prevention order prohibiting him from contacting the victim or any female member of her family for seven years.
The judge warned Bremner that any breach of that order was a criminal offence which could result in prosecution.
Bremner, 23, who has been held on remand in Glasgow’s Barlinnie prison, earlier admitted taking part in sexual activity with the girl and having unlawful sex with her at an address in the Highlands.
