A motorist has been fined more than £500 after he collided with a cyclist on an Aberdeen roundabout.
Chris Matthews appeared in Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted driving into a bicycle rider on the roundabout between School Road and St Machar Drive on March 11 this year, just after 10pm.
The court was told the incident had taken place in wet, dark conditions.
Following the collision, the cyclist was left with minor bruising to their elbows.
Matthews, 23, offered his apologies for the crash.
Sheriff Graeme Napier fined him £560 and endorsed his driving licence with six penalty points.
