An Inverness man took cannabis to help him cope with acute back pain.
So when Michael Cameron’s brother complained of a similar problem, he packaged up some of the drug and posted it to his sibling, special delivery.
But the strong smell alerted a member of staff at the Post Office and the police were contacted, Inverness Sheriff Court heard yesterday.
The parcel was opened and inside were three bags containing 14.1 grams of cannabis. Fiscal depute Alex Swain told Sheriff David Sutherland that he value was between £10 and £170.
Cameron, 57, of Bruce Avenue, admitted being concerned in the supply of the drug on August 20.
He was fined £500.
