A jury trial ended abruptly when the 22-year-old accused changed his plea yesterday and admitted four of the eight charges he was facing.
Connor Scobbie, from Invergordon but described as an Inverness prisoner, had denied a total of eight charges at Inverness Sheriff Court.
However on the third day of his trial, his lawyer, Graham Mann, told Sheriff David Sutherland that a plea had been agreed between with prosecutor Robert Weir.
Scobbie admitted threatening behaviour towards a couple between April 11 and April 29 this year.
He also pleaded guilty to assaulting and severely injuring Wladyslaw Lachmanski on Castle Road, Invergordon on June 14 this year, rendering him unconscious with a punch which caused him to fall to the ground.
The final two charges involved threatening behaviour and making derogatory remarks to a woman on July 25, whom he also assaulted by seizing her by the body, striking her on the head and shaking her.
Sentence was deferred until January 3 for a background report and Scobbie was again remanded in custody.
Not guilty pleas to drug dealing, theft by housebreaking and a further two assaults were accepted by Mr Weir.
