A north-east teenager who started dealing heroin just days after turning 16 was caught by police with £9,000 of drugs and six mobile phones.
The youngster, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had around 120g of the Class A substance stashed in a rucksack when he was stopped by officers in Fraserburgh last April.
He appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday, having previously pleaded guilty to supplying diamorphine and a violent attack where he stamped on a man’s head.
But solicitor Leonard Birkenshaw argued there had been a “sea change” in his behaviour since he enrolled in a Prince’s Trust course last year.
Sheriff Philip Mann ordered the youth to complete 120 hours of unpaid work and remain at his home in Peterhead between 7pm and 7am for the next six months.
