A serial shoplifter who travelled the north-east in search of stock to steal has been given one final chance to change his ways.
Dale Davidson appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday, having admitted to 14 charges between October, 2018 and January, 2019, to help fund his drug habit.
They included a three-day run in which he robbed supermarkets in Portlethen, Banchory and Inverurie, making off with more than £400 of alcohol.
During his spree Davidson, 33, also stole four pairs of hair straighteners, valued at £150 each, from Salon Services in Aberdeen.
His most recent offence involved the theft of 17 bottles of vodka, worth £410.
In total, he removed around £2,000 of stock from shop shelves.
Sheriff Mungo Bovey said: “You’re getting to the stage where your drug abuse will be damaging your health and your prospect of living to a proper age.
“I’m going to give you another chance to cooperate.”
Davidson was placed under social work supervision for two years and ordered to complete a drug testing treatment order.
