A 32-year-old Ross-shire sheep farmer was fined £300 at Inverness Sheriff Court for an assault on a woman.
Lee Dunn, of Fairmuir Road, Muir of Ord, had denied kicking the woman on the shin and pushing her over on to a couch in August last year.
But he was found guilty after trial before Sheriff Sara Matheson who said she did not believe him.
During evidence, the woman said: “He pushed me on to the sofa and then kicked me on the right shin. He was wearing boots at the time. I ran away and locked myself in the bathroom.
“I was upset and I was sore. I had bruising on my leg. He then said he was sorry.”
