A 22-year-old Dulnain Bridge man was caught with indecent images of children on his computer.
Colin White, of Skye of Curr Road, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted possessing 162 indecent images of children.
They had been downloaded on to his Macbook laptop between December 31, 2016 and December 22, 2017 at a house in Carrbridge.
Fiscal depute David Morton told Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald that of the images, one was at the most extreme level and two others were in the middle category. The rest were at the lowest end of the depravity scale.
He added that police had received intelligence that child porn had been downloaded on to White’s computer, obtained a search warrant and raided his property.
Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald deferred sentence until May 21 and placed White on the Sex Offender’s Register.
White’s bail was continued.
