An Inverness joiner headbutted a bouncer after he was denied entry to a bar.
Lee Catto, 24, of 98 Morvich Way, appeared at the town’s sheriff court yesterday and admitted assaulting doorman David Bowie outside Aces Bar on Baron Taylor Street on September 19, 2013.
Fiscal depute Karen Smith told the court Catto and others had attempted to enter the bar in the early hours of the morning – only to be stopped by staff.
It was then that Catto “grabbed hold of Mr Bowie and butted him on the head once”, she added.
Catto’s defence solicitor William Young told Sheriff David Sutherland his client had consumed “more alcohol than was sensible”, and had since shown “immediate remorse”.
