An Elgin man made a private court appearance to face multiple charges.
Liam Forsyth, 30, was taken to Inverness Sheriff Court which is now the legal hub for many of the Highland regional courts during the coronavirus crisis.
He appeared before Sheriff Sara Matheson on Friday facing two charges of abduction, one of threatening behaviour and a fourth of culpable and reckless conduct.
He made no plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
Forsyth will reappear within the next eight days.
It was reported armed police and other emergency services were called out to Findhorn Court in the South Lesmurdie area of Elgin on Wednesday.
