Two people have appeared in court following an alleged attempted murder in Aberdeen.
A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital following an incident in a flat on Moir Drive in the Northfield area of the city on Friday evening.
Emergency services, including a number of police and ambulance crews, were sent to the scene at around 8.50pm.
Today a man and a woman appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the incident.
Dawid Majewicz, 38, and 36-year-old Kelly Santos, both from Aberdeen, were charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, danger of life and attempted murder
In addition, Majewicz is accused of wilfully or recklessly destroying property belonging to another, and breaching some bail conditions.
Santos is also alleged to have been carrying an offensive weapon at the time.
Neither made any plea, and both were released on bail.A further court date will be scheduled for Majewicz and Santos in due course.
