Two Caol women appeared before Fort William Sheriff Court yesterday on unrelated benefit fraud charges.
Margaret McFall, 49, of 24 Torlundy Road, admitted obtaining more than £15,300 in Disability Living Allowance to which she was not entitled.
Sheriff Richard Davidson deferred sentencing her until December 9 for her to show that she is repaying the money.
Ellen Edwards, 32, of 99 Glenkingie Street, admitted obtaining more than £3,500 in Carers Allowance by failing to inform the Department of Work and Pensions that she was earning more than £100 per week working as local coordinator for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland charity.
The sheriff deferred sentencing her until June 24 for a background report.
