Two people are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today in connection with a series of housebreakings.
The 25-year-old man and 29-year-old woman have been reported to the procurator fiscal in relation to seven incidents in the city.
One of these included the theft of wedding rings and about £1,000 in cash, jewellery and electrical items from an engaged couple, who live on Walker Road in Torry.
The rings have now been recovered and returned to Matt Duthie and Lindsey Cooper.
Al of the alleged thefts were carried out between May and June.
Detective inspector Stewart Mackie said: “It is positive news that two people have been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with a series of housebreakings. It is thanks to the dedicated work of officers along with assistance from the public that this outcome has been achieved.
“Police Scotland has launched a national campaign to target housebreakings, Operation RAC, and officers are continuing to investigate incidents. Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious behaviour to the police.”
Anyone with any concerns should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
