A woman has appeared in Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with a spate of housebreakings across the city.
Shareen Reid, 29, of no fixed address, is alleged to have committed seven offences between May and June.
One of these included the theft of wedding rings and about £1,000 in cash, jewellery and electrical items from an engaged couple, who live on Walker Road in Torry.
The rings have since been recovered and returned to Matt Duthie and Lindsey Cooper.
Reid appeared in private yesterday and made no plea. She was remanded in custody.
A 25-year-old man, who was also due to appear in court in relation to the housebreakings, was released from custody.
A Crown Office spokesman said: “After full and careful consideration of the facts and circumstances of the report, the accused was liberated from custody and did not appear in court.”
“The report remains under consideration by the procurator fiscal.”
