Two men have been charged in connection with a fire at Peterhead Bowling Club.
The pair, aged 22 and 27, are expected to appear at the town’s sheriff court on Monday.
The fire, which happened on Sunday, destroyed the bowling club and damaged other buildings nearby.
Buchan community policing inspector George Cordiner thanked members of the public for their help with the investigation, and said: “This incident caused significant distress and upset to the owners and users of these facilities as well as causing concern to the wider community.
“We recently requested the assistance of the public to help identify those responsible and I would like to express my thanks for that support and hope we will continue to work together to ensure our community remains one of the safest places to live.”
