A teenager who had a row with his ex-girlfriend after she lost her handbag was ordered to stay out of trouble for six months at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.
First offender Tyler Mackenzie, 17 Dochfour Drive, Inverness admitted a breach of the peace by shouting at his former partner Claire Stimpson and struggling with her in Dochfour Drive on March 27 this year.
The court heard that the 18-year-old had been drinking with Miss Stimpson and she left her handbag in a city centre premises.
Fiscal depute Kelly Mitchell said: “She wanted to return to retrieve it but he didn’t think it was a good idea and started shouting at her. There was a struggle and she fell to the ground. Both had been drinking.”
Mackenzie will re-appear for sentence on February 19 next year.
