An Inverness woman who failed to complete a drug treatment and testing order was jailed for eight months at the city’s sheriff court.
Naomi Sturrock, 35, 6 Millburn Court, was placed on the order last year and had sentence deferred for three other offences while it was running.
But yesterday Sheriff David Sutherland ran out of patience and revoked it.
Sturrock had previously admitted a breach of bail on June 7 last year – when she made contact with her husband when she had been instructed not to do so – and two breaches of the peace.
On January 13 this year, she lost her temper with staff in Ramsdens in the High Street of Inverness, shouted and swore at them and threatened to kill one of them.
The court heard she was trying to sell a mobile phone and staff had demanded proper identification.
On June 25, Sturrock again lost her temper with members of the criminal justice social work department in Culduthel Road after they informed her that her medication was changing.
Fiscal depute Kelly Mitchell said: “She was very angry and refused to leave. She said to a member of staff that she would smash her car. But later she told police she wouldn’t have done it.”
Defence lawyer John MacColl said: “She knows she is in a very difficult position today. She apologises unreservedly to the criminal justice team.”
