Drink driver will be sentenced next month

A man will be sentenced at Wick Sheriff Court next month after admitting driving while twice the legal limit.

Paul McCabe, 50, recorded a positive breath test when he was stopped by police on Castlegreen Road, Thurso, on May 19.

Wick Sheriff Court heard that officers had been concerned about his driving.

McCabe, of Round Riding Road, Dumbarton, pleaded guilty.

Sheriff Andrew Berry imposed an interim ban and called for background reports before sentence on December 9.
