An Aberdeen woman has been caught drink-driving twice in the space of less than a month – on one occasion more than seven times the limit.

Paulina Narwojsz drove while more than seven times the booze limit on Ellon Road in Bridge of Don on July 13.

And undeterred the 35-year-old again got behind the wheel on Friday and drove while six times the limit on the A92 at Parkway, Bridge of Don.

Narwojsz appeared in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court from custody flanked by two security guards, and pled guilty to two charges of drink-driving.

In the first incident she drove with 162 microgrammes (mcg) of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

The legal limit is just 22mcg.

And in the second incident Narwojsz drove with 132mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

Sheriff Graham Buchanan said: “I’ll have to get a report given the high level of alcohol and the fact this occurred twice in three weeks.”

Defence agent Kevin Longino, representing Narwojsz, said: “There has been a previous issue with alcohol.”

Fiscal depute Lynne MacVicar told the court here were no previous convictions to tender.

She also made a crown motion for forfeiture of the vehicle.

Addressing Narwojsz directly, Sheriff Buchanan said: “I’m going to defer sentence in order to obtain a criminal justice social work report.

“You’ll be released on bail whilst that report is being obtained.

“You will be subject to the standard conditions of bail together with an additional special condition which is that you must not sell or otherwise dispose of the vehicle mentioned in these charges before this case is disposed of.

“I’ll continue consideration of the crown motion for forfeiture until the sentencing hearing.

“With immediate effect I impose interim disqualification from driving. That means you must not drive any vehicle on public roads.”

Sheriff Buchanan deferred sentence on Narwojsz, whose address was given in court papers as Lee Crescent North, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, until next month to allow time for the report to be prepared.
