A man has been handed unpaid work after throwing a glass bottle at a car in Aberdeen city centre.
Greig Falconer, 26, had been drinking before he threw a bag containing a glass bottle in the air and it landed on a vehicle’s windscreen on Market Street.
Fiscal depute Rebecca Clark said a man had parked his car on the street around 11pm and saw Falconer “appearing to be intoxicated, acting in an aggressive manner, shouting and swearing standing next to the car.”
She added: “He threw a carrier bag into the air which then landed on the windscreen of the car making a loud smashing sound.”
Falconer, of Middlefield Place, Aberdeen, pled guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and throwing the bag and bottle at the car on January 6.

Defence agent Gail Wiggins said her client had been drinking in a nearby bar prior to the incident.
She said: “Unfortunately he consumed a significant amount of alcohol and purchased a carry out.”
Ms Wiggins said Falconer had very limited recollection of the incident, adding: “All Mr Falconer can put that down to is the consumption of alcohol.
“The behaviour was wholly unacceptable.”
Sheriff Robert McDonald ordered him to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work.
