A man caught growing cannabis jumped out of his window and injured himself when police came to his door.
Andrew Turner, 32, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on crutches following the incident and pled guilty to producing cannabis at his address on Morrison Drive, Aberdeen, on February 7.
He also admitted failing to appear at court on another date.
Fiscal depute Lynzi Souter said: “During November 2018, intelligence had been received by police with regards to the accused cultivating cannabis.
“It wasn’t until February 7 this year that officers attended at the locus regarding other matters.”
When officers knocked at the door Turner answered but refused entry.
Mrs Souter said: “At this time officers could detect a strong smell of cannabis coming from the property.”

Entry was eventually forced to the property but Turner was no longer there. A search was carried out and cannabis leaves and cuttings, as well as equipment, was recovered.
Turner handed himself in at a police station on February 14 and, in reply to caution and charge, said: “It was personal use. Two plants was not much.”
Defence agent Iain McGregor said: “The circumstances are somewhat unusual.
“On February 7 it’s my understanding the police had attended in possession of a means warrant for Mr Turner.
“Unfortunately his reaction was to leave via a window. He did sustain a fairly serious leg injury.”
Sheriff Ian Cruickshank fined him £400.
