A drunken New Year reveller kicked a female police officer in the head.
James Fitzwater, 30, struggled with officers at an address on Clifton Road at around 6.50am on January 1.
Fiscal depute Karen Dow told Aberdeen Sheriff Court police had attended the scene after receiving a call about a male at the communal door and the accused was traced in the hallway.
She said Fitzwater swore at the officers before becoming involved in a struggle and punching a male officer three times to the face, leaving him with redness to his right eye and a scratch.
Ms Dow said: “The accused thereafter kicked the female officer to the left eye.”

She was left with “minor redness”.
Fitzwater, of Menzies Road, Aberdeen, pled guilty to assaulting both officers.
Defence agent Alex Burn said: “It was Hogmanay. He clearly had far more to drink than is wise to do.
“He’s got little recollection of this.”
He added he was “apologetic for his conduct”.
Sheriff Robert McDonald deferred sentence until later this month for reports.
