Ian Bonnyman, 38, blocked the woman’s path as she tried to walk into the Spar store on Greenfern Road, Aberdeen, on December 9 2017. Bonnyman’s former partner had been accused of assaulting the woman, leaving her blind in one eye, but was acquitted. Fiscal depute Anna Chisholm said Bonnyman told the woman: “An eye for an eye”. And after she left the shop he began to follow her and shouted: “It’s going to get worse. You’re getting it tonight.” Keep up to date with the latest news with The Evening Express newsletter Bonnyman, of Mastrick Land, Aberdeen, pled guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner. Defence agent Michael Burnett said the threats were “very much idle”. Sheriff Robert McDonald ordered Bonnyman to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
