Lorraine Mitchell or Ironside, 58, was caught when police searched her property after the laptop’s owner saw it for sale. Ironside pled guilty at Aberdeen Sheriff Court to being in possession of the laptop, which had been stolen when a house was broken into. Depute fiscal Christy Ward said it was valued at around £1,000 and Ironside told police she had bought the item from someone on the street for £100. Sheriff Sukhwinder Gill ordered Ironside, of Seaton Drive, Aberdeen, to carry out 50 hours of unpaid work. This article originally appeared on the Evening Express website.
