A man has appeared in court for a second time charged with causing death by dangerous driving after three people died following a horror crash.
Marin Rachev, 34, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday over the incident on the A90.
The 34-year-old, whose general address was given as Aberdeenshire, made no plea during the behind-closed-doors hearing and the case against him was fully committed.
He was refused bail and was remanded in custody.
It comes after two cars and a Citylink coach were involved in the tragedy on the A90 at Drumlithie on Tuesday March 12.
Zaharina Hristova, 37, Silyan Stefanov, 42, and Dimitar Georgiev, 32, all from Bulgaria, were travelling in the same car, a red Renault Megane, when it was in a collision with the coach and a Ford B Max.
Multiple people had to be cut from vehicles in the accident between Stonehaven and Laurencekirk.

Several ambulances, specialist units and a helicopter attended the scene, to take people to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Community leaders who represent the Mearns had spoken of their shock after the incident and had passed their condolences to friends and family of those involved.
The road was closed in both directions for almost 24 hours while a meticulous investigation was carried out at the scene.
