A farmer has been fined after an alcohol-fuelled rant at his wife.
Stuart Miles, 29, was “heavily intoxicated” when he lost his temper and began shouting and swearing at his partner, calling her offensive names on Saturday.
When she went to a bedroom he followed her and made threats, and also kicked and struck a door.
Fiscal depute Christy Ward said the woman “became very upset” as a result.
Miles, of Udny, pled guilty to acting in a threatening or abusive manner at his address.
Defence agent Liam Mcallister said: “This was an utterly shameful few minutes in the life of Mr Miles. He had been working 95 hours by his estimate last week when it got to Saturday evening he decided to relax and unwind.
“He consumed alcohol to excess in a short space of time and acted in an abhorrent manner.”
Sheriff Ian Wallace fined him £500.
