A man has appeared in court accused of assaulting a woman, causing her severe injury.
Marek Brzozowski, 38, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday in connection with the alleged incident.
He is charged with assaulting the woman on Charlotte Street and shouting at her, threatening to kill her, striking her on the head with a bottle or similar implement, pushing her and repeatedly kicking her on the body to cause her severe injury.
Brzozowski, whose address was given in court as Charlotte Street, Aberdeen, did not enter a plea and Sheriff Ian Wallace adjourned the case until May 15 when an intermediate diet hearing will take place.
A trial date has been set for June 12 and Brzozowski’s conditional bail was renewed.
