Brian Wood, 62, sent a string of abusive messages on November 24. Fiscal depute Karen Dow said Wood had been in a relationship with the woman for around four months until October. She said the woman had been out with friends and didn’t answer a phone call from Wood. He then sent a number of messages, including saying “watch your car”. Defence agent Tony Burgess said they were “shallow threats” and added: “He is acutely embarrassed and ashamed of what he did.” Sheriff Ian Wallace fined him £300.
