An Aberdeen woman jumped on the bonnet of the car her ex-partner was driving and battered the windscreen with a piece of its broken wiper.
Angela Jack or McKenzie, 32, “lost her temper” in a row over the former couple’s children and her ex’s new partner.
The separated pair had an agreement that his new partner would not be involved with their children, but when he dropped their kids off at the house with his new girlfriend in the passenger seat, an argument broke out.
Fiscal depute Gavin Letford said: “At the time, the accused had been in a relationship with one of the witnesses for around eight years and had been married for four of those years. The couple had two children. In January 2018 the marriage ended.”
Mr Letford said the man and his new partner drove to McKenzie’s house to drop off the children at around 4.10pm on November 18, but she was not home. He said: “He and the female passenger remained in the car and a short time later the accused returned home.”
Mr Letford said the man saw McKenzie approach the passenger side of the car and had “concerns about the way she was acting” so he got back into the car and locked the doors.
McKenzie tried to open the door, “pulling the handle several times” and “started to shout”.
She went on to punch the vehicle and attempted to break a wing mirror, at which point the man “started to drive off very slowly”.

However, McKenzie pulled herself onto the bonnet of the car, forcing it to stop.
Mr Letford said: “The accused took hold of a windscreen wiper and began pulling it back and forth. She then used part of the windscreen wiper which she had broken off to strike the windscreen of the car several times.
“The accused eventually stepped back from the vehicle at which point he was able to drive off.
“As he did so the accused punched a window and threw the windscreen wiper to the ground.”
McKenzie, of Goodhope Close, Bucksburn, pled guilty to acting in a threatening or abusive manner.
Defence agent Stuart Beveridge told the court: “This particular weekend he had the children. She came home and found the children on the doorstep. He was sitting in the car with his new partner.
“There had been an arrangement the new partner would not be involved with the children. She accepts she lost her temper.”
Sheriff Gary Aitken deferred sentence until June for McKenzie to be of good behaviour.
