A man who admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Laith Binnie appeared in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday for sentencing in connection with the matter.
The 33-year-old had previously pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of the Class B drug on November 1 2016 at an address on Marchburn Avenue in Aberdeen.
The court previously heard police raided a property following “intelligence and surveillance of motor vehicles”.
Depute fiscal Colin Neilson told the court a drug search warrant was granted and executed.
He said Binnie was found in the kitchen area where three bags of cannabis were also discovered.
Mr Neilson said the bags contained 306g of the drug and had a maximum street value of more than £5,000. Around £7,500 in cash was also discovered.
And yesterday Binnie, whose address was given in court papers as Fowler Avenue, Aberdeen, was handed 200 hours of unpaid work to carry out within nine months.
He was also given a restriction of liberty order to remain within his address between 7pm and 5.45am daily for eight months.
