A man has been fined after headbutting another male in a row over seating at an Aberdeen bar.
Trevor Spalding, 27, headbutted the man to the face at Siberia on Belmont Street shortly after midnight on October 21.
Fiscal depute Lynzi Souter said: “At 12.40am an argument ensued between the complainer and the accused over seating in the locus. The argument resulted in the accused headbutting the complainer once.”
Police were called and Spalding was arrested. Spalding pled guilty to assault when he appeared in the dock yesterday.
Defence agent Bruce MacDonald said the argument broke out when the complainer asked Spalding to move so his friends could sit at the table. He added he “regrets” the incident.
Sheriff Ian Wallace fined Spalding, of Mugiemoss Road, £500.
