A vicious yob is facing a prison sentence after battering a man on crutches leaving him with a fractured skull.
Kacper Grzeslak, 29, along with another unidentified male, had been drinking with their victim, who had a broken leg at the time, on October 14 2017 before things turned sour after they accused him of being a police informant.
Depute fiscal Alison Reid said Grzeslak had been socialising with friends on the evening in question before going back to one of his friend’s flat.
However his friend went to buy food leaving him alone.
Ms Reid said: “A short time later two males, the accused and another male who’s not been identified, came into the room.
“The complainer spoke to the accused and the other male and this started off friendly enough with the three of them drinking alcohol together.
“Things turned sour with the accused and the unknown male arguing about something before turning to the complainer and asking him: ‘Who sent you? Did the police send you?’.
“The complainer told the accused and the other male that he had done nothing wrong and suddenly with no provocation the complainer was punched repeatedly to the head and body by the accused and this other male.
“The accused grabbed him by the throat and tightened his grip causing his breathing to be restricted.
“The assault continued with the two males kicking the complainer on the head and body.”

Eventually the assault came to an end and the victim managed to leave. He was found to have suffered fractures to his nose, upper jaw and the base of his skull, as well as facial contusions and soft tissue injuries.
Grzeslak, a prisoner of HMP Barlinnie, pled guilty to assault to severe injury and disfigurement.
Sheriff Jack Brown deferred sentence for the preparation of reports, but warned him: “A custodial sentence is very much at the forefront of the court’s mind.”
Defence agent Charlie Benzies reserved mitigation for the sentencing next month.
