Mhairi-Ann Baxter, known as McLellan, was due in court yesterday over the matter. The 48-year-old did not appear in person but her solicitor submitted a not guilty plea by letter on her behalf. McLellan is charged with assault, or alternatively dangerous driving, in relation to the alleged incident on February 19 in Wales Street, Aberdeen. It is alleged she reversed her car at her former partner, striking him on the body. Sheriff Ian Wallace set the date of a preliminary hearing on the case for December 27, with a trial date pencilled in for January 23. McLellan, whose address was given in court papers as Birkhill Road, Banchory, was ordered to appear. This article originally appeared on the Evening Express website.
