A man who broke into a flat was caught after a neighbour captured the bungling burglar on camera.
Darren Warchol, 28, and a woman smashed their way through the living room window of a flat in Marischal Court, Aberdeen, on June 3.
Depute fiscal Jamie Dunbar told Aberdeen Sheriff Court Warchol, wearing a hooded top, and the woman, were seen to bang the window until it broke shortly after 6pm.
He said: “A neighbour recorded this on their mobile phone and contacted police.”
The pair escaped empty handed and were later apprehended by police.

Warchol, a prisoner of HMP Grampian, pled guilty to breaking into the Marischal Court flat with intent to steal while acting with another.
His former co-accused, who was not named, was dealt with separately and jailed for 11 months.
Defence agent Chris Maitland said the woman had known the victim and knew he would not be at home. He added: “She knew he was going to be out. She suggested going round to look for money that she knew would be lying around.
“His reason for going along was with a view to trying to obtain money to then buy drugs.”
Sheriff William Summers jailed Warchol for 12 months.
