An Aberdeen woman has been placed under supervision for a year after throwing a vodka bottle at scaffolders outside her home.
Taryn Hartwig or Hay, 37, lost her rag with the workmen and leaned out of her window to launch a vodka bottle at them on July 30. It ended up hitting one man in the face.
Fiscal depute Lucy Simpson said three men were working on dismantling the scaffolding at Short Loanings, Aberdeen, at around 8.15am. She said workers observed a second-floor window open and a female voice repeatedly shouting at them to shut up before a “large glass vodka bottle” was thrown at them.
Ms Simpson said: “It landed at his feet and fell down the scaffolding to the platform below. Another witness, on hearing a noise, looked up and as he did so the bottle landed on his face.
“I think the bottle may have smashed by the point at which it hit him in the face.”
The worker hit by the bottle was left with a small bruise to his bottom lip.
When police traced Hay she told them: “I was annoyed and shouted. I only threw the bottle to get their attention.”

Hay previously pled guilty to culpably and recklessly throwing a bottle at the men.
Her defence agent said Hay, of Short Loanings, Aberdeen, had “serious issues”. He added: “She is remorseful. She was horrified when I read back the summary of evidence.”
Sheriff Philip Mann ordered Hay to be supervised for a year.
