A student who threw a rucksack of drugs out his flat window was snared when his McDonald’s discount card was found inside.
Yussuf Adedeji, 19, was held following a raid at his home on the city’s Belmont Road in July 8 this year.
He was studying a surveying course at the city’s Robert Gordon University at the time. Police went on to seize £140,000 of drugs.
Adedeji, who appeared before Lord Burns at the High Court in Glasgow, pled guilty to a string of drug supply charges.
He was caught after police got a tip-off that he may have chucked a bag of drugs out his window. Prosecutor Eric Robertson said a rucksack was then discovered near the student’s Aberdeen flat.
As well as drugs, a wallet was also found with items linked to Adedeji.
Mr Robertson added: “There was a McDonald’s discount card belonging to him as well as student identification.”

The court heard Adedeji had previously had “occasional” work at the burger chain.
Cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis, ketamine and a tranquillizer called alprazolam were found both in the rucksack and the flat.
Text messages on his phone later showed he had been involved in drug dealing.
But, he told police: “I have not done anything wrong.”
Adedeji was charged, but bailed on the grounds he hand over his passport within 24 hours. The next day he called police to claim he had been abducted and robbed.
When an officer tried to contact him, there was no answer on his phone.
It was then discovered Adedeji had got on a bus from Aberdeen bound for London.
The coach was stopped in Lancaster on July 12. Adedeji was held and it emerged he had been planning to catch a flight to Nigeria.
Adedeji was remanded in custody pending his sentencing hearing.
