A teenager has appeared in court after spitting at a police officer.
Levi O’Connor, 18, had been asked to leave his mother’s home following an argument, but returned the following morning banging and kicking the door.
He also pulled down a fence and threatened to smash windows before struggling with officers and spitting.
O’Connor previously pled guilty to assaulting the officer, repeatedly striking a door with his body, shouting, swearing and making threats and abusive remarks towards his mum and pulling down a fence.
He had been accused of pushing a female officer down stairs but his not guilty plea was accepted.
Defence agent Liam McAllister said the matter had been a “significant wake up call” for his client.
Sheriff Ian Wallace ordered O’Connor, of North Anderson Drive, to be supervised for six months.
