A warrant has been granted after a man accused of crashing a lorry into level crossing barriers failed to turn up at court.
Sean Birss, 26, had been due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday in relation to the dangerous driving allegations.
He is alleged to have failed to stop at a red light and entered Insch railway level crossing when it was unsafe to do so and collided with the barriers.
The alleged incident happened on November 24 2017.
Birss, of Bankhead Road, Dyce, had previously pled not guilty.
However he failed to appear at yesterday’s preliminary hearing and Sheriff Graham Buchanan granted a warrant.
