Two teenagers have been ordered to carry out unpaid work after admitting being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
Luke McGuire, known as Cavadias, 19, and a 17-year-old male, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday over the matter.
Fiscal depute Lynzi Souter said the pair had been walking along the pavement on February 7 and made a “sudden turn” when they spotted police.
The officer became suspicious and the duo were traced on Caroline Place in Aberdeen.
Both teens were found to have rucksacks that were searched and contained bags of cannabis and various drug paraphernalia.
The bags of cannabis were largely around 29g in weight.
A full search was carried out and the 17-year-old was found to be concealing another bag of cannabis in his boxer shorts.
Both teens previously pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis, while Cavadias also admitted possession of ecstasy.
Defence agent Chris Maitland, representing Cavadias, said: “He bought more than he needed in order to sell to friends. He estimated a group of around 10 people.”
Defence agent John Hardie, representing the other teenager, said his client was a first offender and would no longer be buying the drug to sell to friends.
Sheriff Ian Wallace gave both teens nine months supervision and ordered Cavadias, of Holburn Street, Aberdeen, to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
The other teen was sentenced to 140 hours.
