A Moray police officer who has been accused of carrying out sexual assault in a police station is due to stand trial next month.
Kyle MacKinnon, from Elgin, allegedly seized a woman by the body and attempted to kiss her at Keith police station sometime between November 28 and December 18, 2018.
The 37-year-old is also accused of repeatedly sending images of a sexual nature to the same woman between the same dates.
A third charge alleges that he also repeatedly sent messages of a sexual nature through social media app Snapchat during the same period.
MacKinnon denied all the three charges, said to have taken place at the former Turner Street station and at another residential address in Keith.
Denies the charges
A previous trial date last February was postponed at Elgin Sheriff Court to allow parties further time to prepare.
MacKinnon, of Dove Avenue in Elgin, was not present in court today but adhered to his not guilty plea through a solicitor.
The trial was set to start in December.
Suspended from duty
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said MacKinnon is suspended from duty and has been so since February 2020.
