A pervert has admitted removing a sleeping woman’s clothing then filming her sexual assault on video.
Laura Miller touched their victim on her private parts and breasts when she was not in a position to consent.
The 29-year-old had been due to stand trial at Inverness Sheriff Court on two charges relating to alleged incidents in 2017 but pled guilty to an amended charge.
Miller – who was described in court as gender-neutral – admitted sexually assaulting the woman at a property on the Isle of Skye in 2017.
Fiscal depute Martina Eastwood told the court that ‘on several occasions’ Miller had sexually assaulted the woman when she was in a state that meant she was incapable of giving or withholding consent.
Not guilty plea accepted for second charge
She said: “On one occasion (Miller) recorded a video of (the complainer) when she was asleep.”
In the video Miller is seen removing their victim’s clothing and exposing her private parts and touching breasts, Ms Eastwood said.
The court heard that Miller, of Brediland, Paisley, then made an offensive sexual remark about the woman.
Their plea of not guilty to a charge of coercing someone into looking at a sexual image and communicating indecently with them for the purposes of obtaining sexual gratification, or of humiliating distressing or alarming them by repeatedly sending videos, was accepted by the Crown.
Sheriff Margaret Neilson called for a criminal justice social work report and deferred sentence to next month.
Miller’s bail was continued in the meantime and they were made immediately subject to the notification requirements of the Sex Offenders Register.
The eventual length of registration will be determined at sentencing.
