A former Oban man appeared at the town’s sheriff court yesterday and admitted producing cannabis.
Ritchie Cummings, 41, pleaded guilty to producing cannabis at 34G McCaig Road, Oban, when he lived there on November 22 last year.
The court heard that 12 plants were involved.
Sentence was deferred until December 9 for background reports.
Cummings, now of 56 Murrayfield Loan, Crieff, also had a not guilty plea accepted to a charge of culpably and recklessly interfering with the electricity supply to the house. It was alleged he did this in order to cultivate cannabis in the loft space, the consequence being a risk of fire or electrical fault to the endangerment of others in adjoining flats. However the charge was dropped.
