Four people have appeared in court after drugs worth more than £100,000 were seized from an Aberdeen city centre flat.
Police recovered a stash of heroin and crack cocaine after a raid at a property on Victoria Street on Wednesday.
It has been estimated the illegal substances hold a street value of around £115,000.
Now, Austin Ironside, 22, Ethyn Eite, 22, Alexander Stewart, 34, and Jolene Stewart, 36, have all appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court over the matter.
They each face two charges of being concerned in the supply of drugs and did not enter pleas.
Eite, Alexander Stewart and Jolene Stewart, all of Aberdeen, were released on bail while the case against them was committed for further examination.
Meanwhile, Ironside, of no fixed abode, was remanded in custody while the case was committed for further examination.
He is expected to appear again over the matter within the next eight days, while no date has been set for his co-accused’s next appearance.
He said: “This significant recovery reinforces our determination to target serious and organised crime.
“We are committed to disrupting the illicit supply of drugs in our communities and we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
“I would urge anyone who is aware of any information about the supply of drugs to report the matter to police on 101, or anonymously through independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
