Three people have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a firearm was shot in Fraserburgh.
Police raced to a property on Scalloway Park in the Aberdeenshire town on April 9 2021 following a report of a gun being fired.
It’s understood the weapon involved was a 9mm gun.
And now, more than 12 months after the incident, two men and a woman have appeared in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court over the matter.
Tony Marioni, 18, of Aberdeenshire, faced charges of attempted murder and possession of firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Accused were released on bail
Meanwhile, Beverley Jamieson, 43, of Fraserburgh, was also charged with attempted murder, as well as possession of drugs.
Martin Brooks, 25, of Fraserburgh, also faced a charge of attempted murder, along with charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice, possession of drugs and vandalism.
A fourth accused, Billy Paterson, 30, of Fraserburgh, also appeared facing a single charge of vandalism.
No pleas were entered and all four were granted bail while the cases against them were committed for further examination.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “On Friday April 9 2021, police attended after receiving a report of a firearm discharge at property in the Scalloway Park area in Fraserburgh.”
No firearms officers were deployed.
